Meet Rose

Meet Rose. She is one of the last Hurricane dogs to arrive. Rose is a 2-3-year-old pitbull with a heart of gold. She is one of the most human-affectionate dogs we’ve met, loving every bit of attention she gets from her people. Unfortunately, her past has left her with a deep sense of fear when it comes to other dogs. While she is calm and gentle around most dogs, her fear kicks in when they get too close, and she will warn them with a growl. Her reactions are fear-based, and she’s never aggressive—she just wants space. Rose is absolutely wonderful with people, and we’re confident she’d be great with kids, as she’s as sweet and affectionate as they come. Her ideal home would be one where she’s the only dog. Rose isn’t one to drag you around on walks or pull you toward other dogs. She just needs her own safe space and the love of a family that will understand her boundaries. We know that she might be a challenge, but Rose has so much love to give. If you're looking for a loyal, sweet companion and are open to giving your heart to only her, Rose could be the perfect fit.
