Meet Spaghetti

Age:2 Weight: 65 Location: Southern MD Nicknames: Spaghett! Good with other dogs?: Yes. Spaghetti is so sweet with a sassy streak. She is a typical female bulldog and wants to be in charge. She frequently uses her body to push her much larger foster brother out of the way. She steals her foster brother's toys directly from his mouth and will not be left out if there are pets or cuddling to be had. Her foster brother graciously gives into her demands to be the center of attention. Good with cats? unknown, will not be adopted to a home with a cat Good with children? OK for kids over: 10 Activity Preference: Champion couch potato IQ: Smart Spaghetti's favorite things: She would love a forever home that is stocked with antlers, balls, sticks, grass patches for rolling, and a good spot for sunbathing. Spaghetti is good at: meeting people, meeting dogs, staying in a crate, cuddling, playing Ideal home: other: at least one human female Training Needs: socialization with people, needs obedience training Health issues: Partially torn CCL and luxating patellas. Spaghetti is on medical hold until her lameness issues are resolved. Meet Spaghetti Are you ready, Spaghetti? Spaghetti is so ready for her forever home but has to wait a bit longer. Poor girl was seized by animal control at 8 months old from an unscrupulous breeder along with 16 other dogs. She waited in the shelter for 7 months until the courts determined not to return her to the breeder. Spaghetti has the sweetest, most lovable personality but lost out on crucial socialization opportunities while in the shelter. As a result, she warms up to new people quickly but can be nervous around men and is very suspicious when people wear masks or hats. Spaghetti has partially torn cranial cruciate ligaments in both back legs. Her mobility is significantly impacted by this and limps frequently. Spaghetti has received several rounds of injections in the hopes we could avoid surgery, but unfortunately she has not improved. Once Spaghetti is fully recovered she will be available for adoption. Spaghetti has been to numerous vets because of her legs. Despite being in pain, she is a wonderful patient and perfect during exams. Everyone LOVES her and she is frequently whisked away by techs for extra love. She's the best girl! Spaghetti's favorite things are cuddles and being held like a baby. She is a velcro pup that always wants to be near her people. She is crate trained and does well when left alone. She is a total hammy and loves to be the center of attention. She also loves a good chew, wrestling with her foster bro, rolling in the grass, and being nosey. She will absolutely steal your heart. PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application. Please visit www.AmericanBulldogRescue.org to apply! Remember - Adoption is always the best option! If you can't help by adopting a homeless pet, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to American Bulldog Rescue, 4 Terry Drive, Suite 1D Newtown, PA 18940 or paypal [email protected]. We cannot place dogs in homes with children under 10 unless that dog has lived with kids or is in a foster home with kids. Thank you.

Adoption Process
All interested people must submit an application, which is on our website. If the application appears to meet our qualifications we follow through with vet and personal references and background check. If those pass, we perform a home visit. If successful and up to our standards, the applicant schedules to meet the dog. If foster family and the adoptive family are happy during that meeting, the applicant signs a contract and can take the dog home. We require a donation of $400. They receive the dog's vet records and a copy of their contract.
