Meet ELSA
My name is Elsa and I used to think I would live out my life with a family that adopted me as a puppy and had children that I loved playing with. Just recently they decided that they couldn't keep me and I really don't know if the excuses were valid but I ended up at the shelter in East Tennessee and they contacted a volunteer with Critter cavalry rescue to see if they would come get me. The shelter people knew I didn't belong there and that was getting depressed. I went into boarding and Critter Calvary saw to it that I got all my shots and heartworm test done and microchip and fecal and that I got spayed especially. Very important for me to never have puppies. I'm an easygoing girl that does have energy because I'm a 3-year-old 50 lb doodle. Because I have poodle in me I'm extremely intelligent and I love physical and mental activities. I know how to sit and how to shake and probably other commands if someone will just show me the ropes and what to do. I'm housebroken I'm crate trained I'm pretty much the ideal Parti Doodle girl. Some people tell me I'm a showstopper. I recently got groomed and they really cut me a little too short but some of these pictures you see on the post or me before the haircut. I like my hair longer for the winter and it will grow out pretty quickly and soon you'll see all the little curls again and the pretty look that I have when I'm looking more Poodly than I am now. I walk very well on a leash but certainly can polish those skills with someone that does this with me daily. I love other dogs and I'm good with cats. There's really nothing bad that I do in my life, but the fact that I'm homeless is a sad part of my life. I hope someone will make me their very own that has a fenced in backyard and maybe some kids to play with and I can play fetch and tug of war and run happily in the backyard while they laugh at my antics. It would be a great Thanksgiving to share a turkey leg with a real forever family. If you're interested in adopting me, I am in the New England area and I can actually travel on the transport van just about anywhere. Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at [email protected] If you would like to have an application or answers to any of your questions. I'm waiting like a little lady to be told that someone truly and deeply wants to make me their own. PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted. Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site. The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive. Contact us at 615-661-5333 or [email protected]
Adoption Process
All potential adoptors must complete the application request form on any dog. Before placing a dog with an adoptor Critter Companion conducts a vet check to ensure proper health, gets the dog up to date on all shots and neuters the dog.
