Burlington County Animal Alliance

Burlington County Animal Alliance is a private, independent, 501(3)(c) nonprofit animal advocacy group, that was founded in 1999 by Lorraine Schrieber and Barb Giano who have a love for animals. To date, we have around 60 members of BCAA. We focus primarily on rescue and adoption of shelter dogs and cats in high kill shelters and surrounding areas in New Jersey. Our main focus is to make the public aware of the numbers of homeless dogs and cats there are in shelters and to promote adoption of these animals. We advocate spaying and neutering of all companion animals to counteract the overpopulation of dogs and cats and to end the tragedy of euthanizing healthy, unwanted companion pets.

Meet Levi – The Sweetest Survivor! Levi may have had a rough start, but you’d never know it from his joyful spirit and loving heart. This 4-year-old, 13 lb Border Terrier mix was found as a stray with severe burns on his back, legs, and head. Thanks to lots of love and care, he’s healing beautifully—though his fur may never fully grow back in some spots, his spirit certainly has.Levi is an incredibly affectionate little guy who trusts quickly and loves hard. He wants nothing more than to be scooped up and cuddled—and he’ll happily follow you from room to room to be close. He’s crate trained, housebroken, walks well on a leash, and is a great little car companion. He loves chewing on bones and toys and soaking up every ounce of attention. Levi would be happiest as your one-and-only pet, soaking in all the love without having to share.If you’re looking for a loyal, loving sidekick with a heart of gold and a survivor’s soul, Levi is your guy. Apply to adopt at bcaaofnj.orgLevi will be ready for adoption in May once his wounds have had time to heal. He will do best with a fenced yard at this time due to his wounds limiting the use of a collar or harness for him.
