Burlington County Animal Alliance

Burlington County Animal Alliance is a private, independent, 501(3)(c) nonprofit animal advocacy group, that was founded in 1999 by Lorraine Schrieber and Barb Giano who have a love for animals. To date, we have around 60 members of BCAA. We focus primarily on rescue and adoption of shelter dogs and cats in high kill shelters and surrounding areas in New Jersey. Our main focus is to make the public aware of the numbers of homeless dogs and cats there are in shelters and to promote adoption of these animals. We advocate spaying and neutering of all companion animals to counteract the overpopulation of dogs and cats and to end the tragedy of euthanizing healthy, unwanted companion pets.

Meet Preston

Meet Our sweet little Preston!   He is approx 1-2 years old and weighs 13 pounds.  He is a  micro boarder collie, we are just kidding! Best guess, he’s probably a spaniel Chihuahua mix. Preston is doing great on leash-which is very new to him, sleeps quietly in his crate and thrives with other dogs. We would prefer him to go home with another playful  dog that can help his confidence develop into the rockstar that we know he is. Preston’s sweet, cuddly and playful personality would thrive in a positive environment that he has the opportunity to explore at his pace. He loves to cuddle and really enjoys spending time with his people.  He is food motivated and most of all comes to life with praise for a job well done. While Preston continues to build his confidence, a positive training environment is the key to his success! He loves his new name which is apparent in every picture with a fast wagging tail; his smile is just so genuine and truly electric.
