We are a municipal shelter for the City of Stamford CT. We respond to animal related calls and are a division of the City Police Dept. We house, care for and adopt owner surrendered or found stray Dogs and Cats. We also rescue and care for injured or orphaned wildlife. We have love for animals and we enjoy helping people. Thats why we do it.

Meet Kiara

Kiara Kiara is looking for her forever home. She is a 1 year old Shepherd mix that was surrendered to our shelter due to no fault of her own. Kiara is such a love but can be skittish. She will need a slow introduction when meeting new people but once she feels safe she will melt into you lap. Kiara is a loving girl looking for a loving Shepherd experienced home. Kiara will soon be cat tested and seems to be dog friendly. Please note a meet and greet is done before any adoption is finalized.
