Meet PUPPY SCARLETT
Are you looking for a companion who will loyally stick by your side through thick and thin? Here's a fun fact for you, deaf dogs are believed to be more bonded to their humans. Scarlett is a deaf, red heeler puppy who is powered by pure joy, and she is full of joy (and energy). Heeler savvy families know that heelers are extremely smart dogs who learn quickly, and Scarlett is certainly no exception. Her foster mom is working on training her with hand signals and using treats for house training, and things are going quite well so far! Scarlett absolutely adores other dogs, and is especially enjoying the other heeler in her foster home as she can match her energy perfectly. Scarlett needs a heeler savvy family with time and patience to give her the training she needs. She is very smart and will catch on quickly, and deaf dogs are not harder to train than other dogs, despite the common misconception. Scarlett will just need a different approach than dogs you may have trained in the past, but you will find the results extremely satisfying. Scarlett is expected to reach the standard heeler size of about 40 pounds once fully grown. More fun facts about Scarlett, she adores children and enjoys playing tug of war and fetch. She also comes complete with a map to her favorite back scratching spot... her 'spot' is cleverly marked for you with a beautiful red spot on her back! PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted. Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site. The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive. Contact us at 615-661-5333 or [email protected]
