Meet Peyton

Welcome, Peyton, a 2-year-old Schnauzer mix with a heart as big as his scruffy charm! Weighing in at 33 lbs, he’s the perfect size for cuddles, adventures, and everything in between. Like a true Standard Schnauzer, Peyton is smart, energetic, loyal, and affectionate—but he does like to play it cool with new people… for about a minute. Give him a slow, gentle approach (and maybe a tasty treat or two), and you’ll be upgraded to "favorite human" status in no time! While Peyton hasn’t mastered any fancy tricks just yet, he’s highly trainable and eager to learn—especially if snacks are involved. The good news? He already walks nicely on a leash, making him a great companion for strolls around the neighborhood. Peyton also seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, but a meet and greet with any resident pups is always required.If you're looking for a loving, intelligent, and slightly scruffy sidekick who will shower you with loyalty and tail wags, Peyton might just be your perfect match. Adoption Process
Adopters can meet our animals 7 days per week at our Sayreville, NJ facility. All adopters are asked to fill out an adoption application survey to find their perfect match. Surveys can be filled out in person at the shelter, or through our online form. All pets are spayed/neutered and receive age-appropriate vaccinations before going home. Adoption fees are $125 for cats and $250 for dogs. Adopters are asked to fill out an adoption contract upon taking their pet home.
