Meet Peaches
Meet Peaches, a 67-year-old Long Haired Dachshund mix! She is as sweet as her name suggests and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats. She wears a long golden and tan coat which she loves having stroked. Peaches has reached her mature weight of 9 pounds which makes her the perfect lap dog size! Please note that because of Peaches' petite size, children in the home should be older than ten years or have experience handling small dogs. She was surrendered through no fault of her own, her owner passed away. We have treated her "cherry eye," meaning that her protruding third eyelid gland was removed, and she has recovered wonderfully. This little girl has had two seizures in her past so the vet recommended her being on medication for 2 weeks. Since then she has not had any seizures. Adopt Peaches and give her a second chance at a wonderful life! (ME, 10/8/24)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.
