Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue

We are a labrador retriever rescue that places labs and lab mixes in new homes. We do this because we love the lab breed and want to be sure dogs in need of a new home find the right home for them.

Meet Stella

Stella is a beautiful 6 year-old purebred black lab who was Brookline rescued after the farmer decided not to breed her again. She is the sweetest “farm raised” (as her collar states) girl with the nicest disposition. She is constantly wagging her tale to such an extent that we call her “Wiggle Butt”. She is so very happy to be with her humans and loves children of all ages. She is friendly with dogs and very playful but takes offence when other dogs are not friendly or aggressive. Cats are an unknown. Stella is a gem in the car and rides peacefully even on long road trips. She is house-trained and not destructive. She doesn’t jump on people or furniture but enjoys a comfy dog bed.Stella would love her own fenced yard but this is not required. She especially would love her humans to interact and love her as much as possible. She will need several walks (which she loves) each day to keep her happy and healthy.Since Stella is having no symptoms but has tested positive for Lymes, she will need to continue treatment for another few weeks. She will also need to be spayed.   PLEASE NOTE: While this Lab may not be available for adoption by the time you complete the adoption process, other great Labs are always finding their way into our Rescue. For more information on this Lab, please contact [email protected].  If you are interested in adopting this Lab or any other Lab from our Rescue, please visit our Web site, www.brooklinelabrescue.org, for more information on our adoption process. If you need additional information about the adoption process or whether you are in our coverage area, please send an e-mail to our Rescue at [email protected] Even if you are not ready to adopt, you can still help us help our Labs! Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer organization funded entirely by donations. Donations are always needed to help with veterinary costs, transportation, and supplies for our dogs. For information on donating to BLRR please click here. Donations are accepted via PayPal or you can mail a check to: Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue, P.O. Box 638, Warrington, PA 18976-0638

Adoption Process
All applicants complete an application and have a home visit before being approved to adopt. Once approved to adopt, they wait to find the right dog for their family. They are required to sign a pre-adoptive agreement and keep the dog they are matched with for a 3 week pre-adoptive period. If all goes well during that period, they sign an adoption agreement and adopt the dog. The fees vary depending on the age and altered status of the dog. We do require all dogs to be altered if they are not already and require obedience training as well
