Chance is a handsome, sweet and sensitive guy who is very easy to fall in love with! He was a brought into the shelter by the fire department when found as a stray. He spent a good amount of time there being heartworm positive and overlooked. His heartworm disease is now treated and he completed his rest period. Chance has arrived to his foster home ready to enjoy life outside the shelter. Chance is around 2 years old and 40 lbs. This boy is soo sweet but can be a bit sensitive and weary of trusting right away. He warms up quickly when he learns that the humans around are going to show him nothing but love and kindness. He is well mannered in the home and seems to be crate and house trained. Once comfortable he will join you on the couch for some pets and snuggles. Chance is great with other dogs and is a good playmate. He has a nice mild energy level and will be found snoozing on the couch or dog bed during the day. He enjoys stuffed toys and bones and is hoping there will be many of these in his forever home. Chance is a lovely leash walker. He is a bit afraid of having the harness put on but once outside he enjoys himself. He is very aware of his surroundings so sometimes he can be a little jumpy at scary things but his confidence will grow overtime. Chance is a very thoughtful, loving and smart guy. He is looking for home with nice people who will show him love and spoil him. He may need a little time to warm up but we promise it’s worth it. He would love a home with another dog. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at [email protected]. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!
