Meet Steel
Steel is a stunning 1 year old husky. He has not had an easy life. Bred by people looking to make a quick buck. Found roaming the streets with nobody taking any time to find him. He found himself in a local shelter at 10 months of age. Steel was a typical husky puppy with no training. He was adopted out to a lady, who had the best intentions. This adoption was not the best placement. Steel was returned in a week for having too much energy. No kidding! What happened next was tragic. Steel found himself set for euthanasia. We all agree this was a horrible decision and Steel was saved in the nick of time. This goofy, energetic boy will need someone who truly understands the breed. He will need training and work on his basic manners. While he is a very sweet boy, he needs to learn how to be the best boy he can be. Steel is neutered, utd on his vaccines and microchipped. We are looking for a home with kids over the age of 6. Steel has shown the typical prey drive of his breed, so, no kitties. He could be placed with a dog that can tolerate his playful nature. He is learning how to walk on leash, thanks to an amazing volunteer. Steel’s life was full of disappointment, let’s show him people are truly good and kind. He deserves it! Adoption Process
Our adoption process is very simple, straight forward, and affordable. Interested adopters must complete our adoption application, which also requires references, vet info, and proof that current pets are uo to date on their vaccines. Once the applicant is approved, we arrange a meet and greet with the adopter and the foster parent. We require our adoptable pets to meet any resident dogs and children, and ideally, all family members. If all goes well and the adoption is approved, our adoption contract is signed and the adoption fee is paid. We allow out of state adoptions, provided everything checks out and the adopter comes to meet the pet.
