We are a municipal shelter for the City of Stamford CT. We respond to animal related calls and are a division of the City Police Dept. We house, care for and adopt owner surrendered or found stray Dogs and Cats. We also rescue and care for injured or orphaned wildlife. We have love for animals and we enjoy helping people. Thats why we do it.

Meet Dixie

Sweet Dixie is still looking for her forever home. Dixie is a senior English Bulldog that is so loving. She is looking for a home with owners that are familiar with the breed and as the only dog in the house. Dixie came into our shelter as a stray with a bad ear infection and film over her eye. She is currently being treated for her ear infection, has finished her eye drops and her eye is looking better. Despite her health problems she is such a love. She loves attention from her human friends and will certainly be a lap dog.
