Meet Lacy

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Lacy is about 15 lb at 10 weeks old and our best breed guess is Bernese shepherd mix. Her foster mom calls her little miss lucky as she has come so far since being found as a stray with her mom and sister. Some wonderful rescuers have been trying for some time to trap her mama who unfortunately doesn’t understand they’re trying to help and doesn’t want to be caught. For now, Lacy and her sister are safe and have a bright future ahead. The team continues to lure mom in so she doesn’t have to raise another litter ever again. Lacy is food motivated and is off to a great start potty training. She is doing well sleeping in her crate through the night with her sister. Lacy enjoys exploring and is doing well walking around the neighborhood on a leash. She loves playing with her fur sister and the resident dogs and kids in her foster home. She is a snuggler and will cuddle up on the couch next to you or, even better, on your lap. She is happy to soak up all the pets, but will also chill with a toy next to you. Don’t be fooled though, Lacy has a lot of puppy energy! It would be best for her to find a forever home with a fenced yard and an active family committed to continuing her training and keeping her well socialized with other fur friends. We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. Adoption Process
We require vet and reference checks and a home visit for all adoptions. Our adoption fee is $275 with an extra $50 deposit for unaltered puppies.
