Meet Rio

This is RIO. He’s an 8 lb., 11-month-old sweet, loving chihuahua with a happy, care-free attitude. RIO and his littermates were all adopted out by BCAA when they were 8-week-old puppies. RIO’s adopter recently contacted BCAA and advised that he was no longer able to give RIO a stable home and asked that he be rehomed. It is obvious RIO was loved and cared for. We are now hoping he fines another loving home that provides him permanency. Initally tentative, RIO quickly warms up to new people and surroundings. He sits when asked, is house-trained and loves to go on walks. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes and really loves to hang with people. He still has a lot of playful, puppy energy and loves toys, fetching a ball, and doing zoomies around the yard. He does not love being crated (but will go in on his own), nor does he like being left alone and prefers to sleep where everyone else sleeps. He is an easy dog to love and he will return the love with lots of kisses and cuddles.

Adoption Process
$100. Cats & kittens $450 for Dogs/puppies one year or younger
