Kona

City of Las Vegas Animal Care Center

We are a municipal animal shelter for the City of Las Vegas. We contract with our county to provide animal services. We are a small shelter and are constantly full and trying to rehome as many friendly, happy, adoptable dogs as we can. We have not had to euthanize for space but our numbers are making it difficult to keep on. Our staff are dedicated and caring.

Meet Kona

Meet Kona, the ultimate goofball with a heart of gold! At around 2 years old, this sweet girl is spayed and fully up to date on all her vaccines, ready to find her forever home. Kona is not just a pretty face—she's a snuggle bug who loves attention and is great on a leash, making walks a breeze! Though she’s covered in scars that tell a story of resilience, it only adds to her charm. Kona is eager to learn some manners and show just how good of a girl she can be. If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s ready to bring joy and laughter into your life, Kona is your girl! Let’s help her find a family that will cherish her for the amazing pup she is! ❤️
