Joyful Rescues, Inc.

Since our humble beginnings in December 2002, Joyful Rescues has grown into a 501(c)3 non-profit corporate team of volunteer animal lovers reaching out to help homeless dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in need of love, affection and forever homes. We are a no-kill shelter – meaning we never euthanize for space. Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.

Meet Mae Apricot

Mae was born around December 22, 2018, and weighs about 11 pounds. Mae belonged to a "backyard" breeder who gave Mae to a relative with the understanding that Mae was to be returned to the breeder when it was time for Mae to be impregnated and produce puppies for profit. When Mae wasn't being used to produce profits for the breeder she lived a happy life with the relative until that relative recently passed away.  Unfortunately, none of the profits the breeder made from Maes sacrifices went to the care of Mae, and she has only received rabies vaccines over the years.  We will be doing a badly needed dental for her and getting her fully vetted.   Please note that Mae had 20 teeth removed during her dental with us and we want to be sure her adopter understands that there may not be many teeth remaining but when there is so much neglect for so long another dental/tooth removal may be needed in the not so distant future.   Mae as sweet as they come and we all adore her.   Mae does well with the other dogs here and rides nicely in the car.  Mae adores her human and would like a human that is home more often than not.  We are told she is also wonderful with children.  This sweet girl deserves the best and we are determined to give that to her.   The Adoption Fee for this dog is $550.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link "Special Instructions to Seller" if you want to note a particular pet
