Joyful Rescues, Inc.

Since our humble beginnings in December 2002, Joyful Rescues has grown into a 501(c)3 non-profit corporate team of volunteer animal lovers reaching out to help homeless dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in need of love, affection and forever homes. We are a no-kill shelter – meaning we never euthanize for space. Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.

Meet Daisy the Ewok

Daisy is said to have been born in 2010 and weighs about 12 lbs.  Her humans didn't have enough time to care for her and she found herself in a western NY high kill city shelter where she was extremely frightened and not able to be shown to the general public.  The city shelter volunteers reached out for a rescue/foster home for Daisy to let her relax and that is when Amy entered Daisy's life!  Once out of the shelter little Miss Ewok turned into a happy, social, loving, little girl - thank you Amy!  She is good on leash and is pad trained to go potty so she needs someone willing to continue this into her future as at this age it is not fair to her to try to change this behavior.  Daisy rode comfortably in the car in a crate.  Daisy seems to be in good health for her age and is still able to jump up on the bed.  Although she gets around just fine, she likely has some normal elder diminished eyesight and likely her hearing isn't as it used to be.  She is simply adorable, and it is so very sad she was dumped by her family especially at this age!  Some of us work so hard to keep our old dogs alive and as we've seen over the years other "humans" tire of them and want something new and shiny as if they were an inanimate object.  We feel it in our hearts that we are going to find someone to love this cutie until it is time for the final goodbye.   The Adoption Fee for this dog is $__300.00__. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link "Special Instructions to Seller" if you want to note a particular pet
