Last Chance Animal Rescue

Last Chance Animal Rescue Fund is a Charitable, not -for profit organization, created to save the lives of animals. We rescue animals that are located in "KILL" facilities and underwrite the costs of relocating them to "NO KILL" facilities in hopes of finding them a forever family. We work with local veterinarians for spay-neuter/ medical services until permanent placement is secured into a pre-screened loving home. We depend on donations to continue to save these helpless loving animals from being killed and hope that you will consider supporting our cause..... saving as many lives as we can.

Meet ENCHILADA

Meet Enchilada - here are some notes from her current foster: Age: 2-3 years old Weight: 16 lbs Breed: Mixed Three words to describe Enchilada: Cuddly, Shy, Outdoor Adventurer Enchilada is a sweet and gentle soul who enjoys life at a slower pace, with plenty of cozy snuggles and outdoor adventures. At just 16 pounds, this little lady is a perfect mix of affectionate and low-maintenance. She’s a bit shy at first, but once she gets comfortable, you’ll see her playful and adventurous side emerge. Crate Routine Enchilada is a pro at her crate routine. She sleeps peacefully in her large, over-sized kennel in the bedroom at night. During the day, while her foster parent is at the office, she’s kenneled from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm in a size-appropriate kennel in the living room. She enjoys watching dog TV on YouTube and looks forward to a frozen peanut butter Kong when her foster leaves. When working from home, she stays in her crate for 1-3 hours to keep her routine intact. She settles in about 20 minutes, and the Kong treat remains a special kennel-only surprise. Potty Training Fully potty trained! Enchilada doesn’t ask to go outside but always follows a routine after being let out of her crate in the morning. She enjoys a cuddle first, and then will patiently sit or lie down by the front door as soon as her collar and leash are ready. She’s a bit scared of stairs, so her foster carries her down the exterior stairs for walks or potty breaks. No issues in the car; she lays down and stays in her spot. Leash and Walks: Enchilada walks beautifully on a leash, staying right by your side. She occasionally gets a burst of excitement and might want to sprint around, but she never pulls. While she’s curious about squirrels, her tracking skills leave something to be desired, so they don’t interrupt her walks. Other Pets & Animals: Enchilada is presumed to be fine with other dogs. She’s previously lived with many dogs and was very excited when she saw her brother at the groomer. She has no experience with cats or kids. Energy Level: She’s mostly a relaxed sofa dog who enjoys her downtime. However, she loves her daily walks, with two 30-minute strolls where she can enjoy sniffing around and exploring. Home Alone: Enchilada is perfectly fine being home alone for a standard workday (up to 8 hours) with no issues. Perfect Match Home: Enchilada’s ideal home is one where she can curl up on the sofa for cuddles and enjoy a calm, loving environment. Someone who wants a companion to sit with them, go on leisurely walks, and offer her plenty of tummy rubs would be her perfect match. Favorite Things About Enchilada: We love the way her tail wags when she’s excited to get pets, and how she’ll come over to her foster parent’s desk, play bowing to ask for some playtime or a belly rub. She has such a sweet way of showing affection, and her gentle nature is sure to win your heart. If you're looking for a relaxed, cuddly companion with just enough outdoor adventuring spirit, Enchilada might just be the perfect match for you!
