Meet Golly Miss Molly

My name is GOLLY MISS MOLLY and I’m a lovely 7yr young F White/Red Cocker/Springer Spaniel X. I’m 25 lbs of PURE SWEET & SASSY! I was rescued from an abusive situation where I was neglected and crated for long periods of time and the man in the household was not very nice to me. As a result I’m not immediately trusting of strangers especially men. You have to go slow with me and let me come to you. I warm up quickly especially if you bring me a nice McDonalds cheeseburger with no pickles and onions! I’m super food motivated but this has also gotten me into trouble because I am naughty and will steal food off tables and out of the trash! My foster says I am starving for attention because I was so neglected but once you give it to me I will demand it and I have a bit of separation anxiety as a result so you must give me strict boundaries as well. I’m a very good student.. I‘m quick to learn and eager to please. I know basic commands i.e sit, lay down, paw, roll over and still need work on “stay”. I’m housetrained, cratetrained and walk very well on the leash. I’m fine with dogs and would love to go with another dog, but it has to be a larger dog because I tend to dominate dogs that are smaller than me unless it’s a very confident breed. I’m absolutely fine with cats and could care less about them. I’m not sure about young kids as I’ve never lived with them.. Older kids ages 12yrs + would be ok but I would prefer an ADULT ONLY HOME . Since I’m a Spaniel, I need adequate outdoor activity and interactivity. I’m not happy living in a city apartment. I NEED SPACE and a FENCED IN YARD to run and sniff to my hearts content. I need someone who knows, understands and appreciates my breed. I’m a “hunting dog” so I love to be outside, running, hiking and smelling all the wonderful country scents. I’m a perfect dog for a single woman that would love a medium energy 4 legged companion to be active with. I’m dying to be the dog I know I can be and need someone who will provide the TLC and further obedience training to fine tune me and make me a more balanced dog. Most importantly I needs someone who will BELIEVE IN ME and get me over my insecurities due to my neglect. I’m a super loyal girl once I know you and trust you and will be your BFF!
