Location: NC Meet Maple – Your Future Cuddle Buddy! Age: Approx. 2 years old -- Kelpie/ACD mix Size: ~45 lbs Spayed & UTD Location: Raleigh, NC (open to out-of-state adopters) Maple is a sweetheart who just wants to love and be loved! Found in a shelter in western NC after being surrendered, she’s blossomed in her foster home and is now ready to find her forever family. Despite a tough start, she’s proving to be a loving and loyal companion who thrives on human affection. Maple is a Velcro dog – if you’re sitting down, she’ll be right there beside you, looking for a cuddle. She loves to wrap herself around you like a scarf, snuggling in for some quality bonding time. She has an easygoing nature and is quite gentle, though she’s a bit on the shy side until she gets comfortable. She has a blast when she’s in her element, bouncing around and eagerly asking for attention. She’s currently fostered with cats and she’s ignored them with little-to-no interest so far, she’s also been introduced to another male dog and is taking things slowly. She walks well with male dogs and has even gone on a 3-mile walk without issue. She does show some bone guarding behavior with other dogs, so a watchful eye is needed during chew sessions. Maple is a quiet and well-mannered house dog – she’s kenneled when not in the house or out for walks and doesn’t have accidents. She enjoys snuggling on her comfy blankets/bed and loves soft blankets. She’s not destructive, so she’ll happily curl up and relax. Ideal Home: Those who love cuddling and don’t mind sharing their space with a dog who wants to be close Gentle owners who will appreciate her soft personality A home that enjoys casual long walks or has a yard for occasional play Someone who doesn’t mind a dog on the furniture during movie nights! If you think Maple is the perfect match for your home, please reach out! She can’t wait to meet her forever family and shower you with love.
