Meet COLBY
This special senior boy is called Colby. He is one of the special ones that you read about with the sad story of being tied out on a chain all their life with a sloppy, rag tag of a dog house to keep them from all the elements …..hot or cold. Never to be let inside, Colby lived like this for all of his life from what we can tell. He is around 12 years and gets around so well for a senior boy. He is living inside now and we are so happy that his owner allowed him to come home with our foster to live out his years in a better place with a warm and cushy dog bed and lots of hugs and evening walks. You can see on his video just how well he walks and enjoys looking around the neighborhood, something he never ever got to do before in his life. He is fine with other dogs even though he never had one to play with all those years. He is curious about each new one he meets. We think that if he was invited to join a family with younger playful dogs that he might put a little more pep in his step and have some true dog fun! He is housebroken, doesn’t need a crate because he doesn’t even begin to have a destructive nature when left alone. He is a 57 pound, Hound/Lab mix that adores being petted and hugged and loved on. If you have a heart for making this senior boy’s life just a whole lot brighter here in his “golden years”, please write to us. We have done a dental, bloodwork, all updates on shots and heartworm tested and he is neutered and microchipped. We love Colby. Everyone does that meets him. What a sweet face to wake up to every morning as the sun rises and the love in his eyes starts your day knowing how grateful he is. PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.
