Buffalo C.A.R.E.S. Animal Rescue

Buffalo CARES was started by 7 people who have worked together for years at various other rescues. We started this rescue because we wanted to make sure our rescue was run the right way. We saw a need for a rescue in the Buffalo, NY area that would help & rescue local dogs. The majority of our animals are local animals.

Meet Ms. Fiona

Hello- Ms. Fiona here! I have felt very welcome in Buffalo and I don’t know what all the talk about bad weather is about. I am a sweet senior Daschund Chihuahua mix who excels at napping and jumping for my meals. I also like snacks too! I enjoy walking the neighborhood and smelling all the new smells here. I like meeting new  people, other dogs, and even cats.  My foster mom tells me I am a great girl and I love getting the attention. She is trying to teach me stairs but otherwise I got this foster thing all figured out. Adoption Process
All adoptions require, reference checks, vet reference checks, home visits, meet & greets. From there we will determine if that applicant is right for the dog they are interested in. At the adoption, a contract will be signed and an adoption fee will be paid. Fee's are based on the specific dog. Puppies, adults, bully breeds or special needs.
