Buffalo CARES was started by 7 people who have worked together for years at various other rescues. We started this rescue because we wanted to make sure our rescue was run the right way. We saw a need for a rescue in the Buffalo, NY area that would help & rescue local dogs. The majority of our animals are local animals.

Meet Sweet Tea's fabulous 8

Hi there, we are Sweet Tea's fabulous 8!! If  you are thinking of opening your home to a puppy for fostering or forever, please apply today @Buffalocares.org. We are American Staffordshire Terriers. We were born in a shelter on Jan. 25, 2025. Our mom was very stressed taking care of us in the scary shelter, so we were moved to a temp. foster home. But now it is our turn to travel up to Buffalo and start looking for our forever family....Can that be you? Can you help us find our forever family by fostering, if you can't adopt? Here  is a little bit about each of us:   Bandit has a BIG of personality, loves to play and loves to be around humans. Spot is the PARTY animal! He gets everyone playing and running around rallying the troops. Snowball is the most independent! Loves to play with his siblings but doesn’t mind being left alone with a toy. Smokey  is a chunky monkey and  laziest of the bunch Crackerjack is the runt! Loves to be with his siblings. very calm and snuggly Uno is so calm, loves to cuddle with his siblings or in his human’s arms Bruno has such a great demeanor. The smartest of the group, picking up on sit and potty training. Rosie is the princess of the group! She loves to run around with her siblings but loves to nap Adoption fee: $475.00 RR48   

Adoption Process
All adoptions require, reference checks, vet reference checks, home visits, meet & greets. From there we will determine if that applicant is right for the dog they are interested in. At the adoption, a contract will be signed and an adoption fee will be paid. Fee's are based on the specific dog. Puppies, adults, bully breeds or special needs.
