Pibbles & More Animal Rescue, Inc.is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, all volunteer, animal rescue organization based in New York - www.pmarinc.org To reduce pet overpopulation, particularly pit bulls, through spay/neuter intervention. Educating the public about responsible pet ownership through adoption as opposed to purchase.Pibbles & More Animal Rescue was started with the belief that no animal should die unwanted. After seeing the abundance of Pit bulls in shelters we decided to try to do something about it.In the beginning it was a small crew who banded together to form Pibbles & More Animal Rescue. We pull and re-home dogs from death row in the NY ACC shelters as well as from the Northeastern states where we have fosters, and from NC, SC and Georgia gassing shelters. We all have the hope that one day we will be a no kill nation. Until then, we rescue as many dogs as we can, get them medical treatment and put them into foster homes until permanent homes can be found. We take in healthy dogs, mange dogs ,heart-worm positive dogs and dogs who have been abused or have broken bones and open wounds. When we are done, only the scars remain, and the beautiful animals underneath shine through. The potential is there, for dogs to get a second chance at life, to know what love feels like. This is what we strive for every day. To find responsible loving owners for the bullies of the world.

Short legs ✔️  Stubby tail ✔️  Big head ✔️  Chubby jowls ✔️  Adorable face ✔️✔️  How this hunky boy is still with us - we have no clue! Champ is a good boy - good with cats, kids and dogs and currently living with all in his upstate NY foster home. He loves to play and throw his stocky self around. We are working with his basics to make him a perfect furry side kick.  We’ve been managing his allergies and had him tested, so we know he cannot eat lentils, soy, corn, peas, and a few other things. He is on allergy pills and a special diet, which he must continue to prevent scratching himself horribly and cutting his skin open. We are hoping to have additional testing to see what else we can do for him, but in the meantime, his future forever family needs to realize just how special he is! All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.  Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.  Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England.  Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada.  Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application.
