Pibbles & More Animal Rescue

Pibbles & More Animal Rescue, Inc.is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, all volunteer, animal rescue organization based in New York - www.pmarinc.org To reduce pet overpopulation, particularly pit bulls, through spay/neuter intervention. Educating the public about responsible pet ownership through adoption as opposed to purchase.Pibbles & More Animal Rescue was started with the belief that no animal should die unwanted. After seeing the abundance of Pit bulls in shelters we decided to try to do something about it.In the beginning it was a small crew who banded together to form Pibbles & More Animal Rescue. We pull and re-home dogs from death row in the NY ACC shelters as well as from the Northeastern states where we have fosters, and from NC, SC and Georgia gassing shelters. We all have the hope that one day we will be a no kill nation. Until then, we rescue as many dogs as we can, get them medical treatment and put them into foster homes until permanent homes can be found. We take in healthy dogs, mange dogs ,heart-worm positive dogs and dogs who have been abused or have broken bones and open wounds. When we are done, only the scars remain, and the beautiful animals underneath shine through. The potential is there, for dogs to get a second chance at life, to know what love feels like. This is what we strive for every day. To find responsible loving owners for the bullies of the world.

Meet Saint

How was your weekend? Saint had an exciting one—he headed out to his new foster home! A huge thank you to our incredible volunteer transport drivers who made sure he had a safe journey. He was such a good boy - look how good he was in the car! Now settled in a foster home on Long Island, Saint, an ACC survivor, has already come a long way. This sweet pup was found wandering an apartment building after his "owners" put him out. Just a baby with his whole life ahead of him, we couldn’t bear to think of him not making it out of the shelter. Since joining us, Saint has recovered from kennel cough, been neutered, and started learning his puppy basics. Though he wasn’t taught these skills before, he’s doing great and will continue his training to become the perfect family companion. Saint is a pittie mix, about 6 months old, and gets along well with dogs, kids, and cats. For now, Saint is adjusting to his new foster home, and we can’t wait to see him find his perfect forever family All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application.
