This is Scarlett, one of the many faces we were able to rescue this week. Suffering in silence, chained outside with a large padlock on her collar and tethered 24/7. Scarlett has lived in filth on a concrete slab in her own urine and feces. A plastic baby pool full of algae and rainwater served as her dirty drinking trough. No shelter from the elements, no food or human interaction. She was used to breed as a source of income for her “owners” and treated like garbage. Her ears are infested with ticks and her frail little body loaded with parasites We are unsure what we are up against as far as medical care for Scarlett, but with your help we are certain we can provide the very best care. Additionally she will need to be transported to the Northeast, far away from her torturous life in captivity. To say we are overwhelmed and heartbroken is an understatement… No dog should have to live this way EVER! It’s hard to believe how forgiving and sweet she is after suffering at the hands of humans, but she is now safe with CHBR and on the mend. We are a small all volunteer rescue fully reliant upon your generosity. Please consider making a donation to help Scarlett and all of the other dogs in need. You too can help make a difference in their lives. We will provide an update as soon as we can. Thank you for your consideration.
