Meet Skippy
Looking to love a senior pup? Meet Skippy! This sweet 11-year-old Beagle has a handsome tricolor coat and the cutest powdered sugar nose! At 19 lbs., Skippy is considered a small-sized pup.Skippy was a stray brought to our partner shelter in North Carolina by an Animal Control Officer. Now that he has made his way to Connecticut, he cannot wait to find the perfect forever family to spend the rest of his days with! Skippy is very friendly and easy going. He is great with other dogs, and he loves to get snuggles from his humans, including kids! We do not know yet how he feels about cats. As a low-energy pup, he would enjoy plenty of couch cuddles with a little play time peppered in between!Skippy already has his house training and leash walking down and is working hard on his crate training. Although Skippy is house trained, it is important to remember that accidents can happen while adjusting to a new home environment. Skippy thrives on structure and routine, and setting up a consistent routine will help him adjust to his new home. He would love to join a family who will provide him with lots of love and patience during this transition! If you have always dreamed of opening up your heart and home to a loving senior pup, you just have to meet Skippy! The adoption fee for Skippy is $300. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
