Pibbles & More Animal Rescue, Inc.is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, all volunteer, animal rescue organization based in New York - www.pmarinc.org To reduce pet overpopulation, particularly pit bulls, through spay/neuter intervention. Educating the public about responsible pet ownership through adoption as opposed to purchase.Pibbles & More Animal Rescue was started with the belief that no animal should die unwanted. After seeing the abundance of Pit bulls in shelters we decided to try to do something about it.In the beginning it was a small crew who banded together to form Pibbles & More Animal Rescue. We pull and re-home dogs from death row in the NY ACC shelters as well as from the Northeastern states where we have fosters, and from NC, SC and Georgia gassing shelters. We all have the hope that one day we will be a no kill nation. Until then, we rescue as many dogs as we can, get them medical treatment and put them into foster homes until permanent homes can be found. We take in healthy dogs, mange dogs ,heart-worm positive dogs and dogs who have been abused or have broken bones and open wounds. When we are done, only the scars remain, and the beautiful animals underneath shine through. The potential is there, for dogs to get a second chance at life, to know what love feels like. This is what we strive for every day. To find responsible loving owners for the bullies of the world.

Meet George

Poor George – we are hoping the 3rd time is a charm and he finds his forever family. Georgie is a Jack Russell mix, and he is now about 7 months old and 30 lbs.  Originally coming to us a few months back from our GA rescue partner, he is ready for a forever home – he’s been ready – but sadly, his spunky personality takes time to shine and adjust and he needs a home to give him just that.  Currently in an upstate NY foster home, George gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids. He is a bit excitable, so he might be best with kids aged 5 and up as he’s still learning that not everyone wants to be jumped on. George loves to play and chew toys, and he would enjoy having a compatible-sized doggy companion. He is doing well with learning his puppy basics, including housebreaking, and is ready for a family of his own!  All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.  Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.  Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England.  Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada.  Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application.
