Joyful Rescues, Inc.

Since our humble beginnings in December 2002, Joyful Rescues has grown into a 501(c)3 non-profit corporate team of volunteer animal lovers reaching out to help homeless dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in need of love, affection and forever homes. We are a no-kill shelter – meaning we never euthanize for space. Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.

Meet Allie Rea

Allie was born about July 24, 2021 and weighs about 50 lbs.  She is one lucky girl as someone found her in time after, perhaps, being hit by a car and she made it off the road and into a ditch where she was discovered in shock with very white gums.  She was quickly taken to a vet, hospitalized, treated and she rallied - and completely recovered from whatever happened.  She made the journey here from the high kill area of KY to us in Cuba NY with the kindness of a group of one hour at a time drivers and we thank Maureen for fostering Allie overnight halfway here.  Allie does really well in a car and fine on leash once she gets a little steam out.  She is very good with the other dogs here and ADORES running and wrestling with her friends.  She is a bit exuberant so she should have a dog friend about her size or larger.  Allie does swim in the pond and she's always ready for a bit of snuggling in the evening when the humans finally sit down here.  She is very comical and a bit of a drama queen when she needs your attention.  Otherwise, she is a lovely, quiet, kind of girl and simply gorgeous!  Oh, by the way, Allie sheds "a bit". The Adoption Fee for this dog is $_450.00_. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link "Special Instructions to Seller" if you want to note a particular pet
