Meet Patty
This is a sad story in which we are hoping for a happy forever family for 10m old Patty from Albania. She will be here in March. Patty's Rescue Story Patty was reported to us as a dog that had been hit by a car on the highway in the morning. Given the number of cars that passed her, we assumed someone would have stopped to help. However, after work, we decided to go check on her to ensure she had received assistance. Our hearts sank when we found her still lying there 12 hours later; not a single person had stopped to help. We immediately took her to the veterinarian, where it was discovered that she had a broken pelvis and a broken leg. After healing in a clinic cage, she now resides in a shelter. Name : PattyAge: 10 Months Weight: 44lbeGender: female Breed: mix/lab possibly ?Spayed: yes Vacines: yes up to date 4dx snap : negative Good with dogs: yesGood with kids : yesGood with cats: not testsBehavior issues: none House broken: (never lived in a home) About Patty Patty is a sweet soul. She loves people and is always in a cheerful mood. She is extremely affectionate. She enjoys water and has a playful spirit. She’s quiet and not much of a barker. There isn’t much negative to say about Patty, except that she had a rough start in her young life. While Patty walks a little off due to her past injuries, she is full of life, and nothing holds her back from doing what she wants to do.All the dogs love her. All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social. Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!) All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport. Please go to our site https://zanisfurryfriends.org fill out an application Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at [email protected] and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate!
Adoption Process
Adopters are asked to complete an application and spend time with their prospective companion animals. All adopters are carefully screened via vet and personal references, and a home visit is conducted. A donation in an amount agreeable to all parties is requested to help defray our expenses (medical, transport, training, pet supplies, etc). We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and are always in need of donations. That donation can be in the form of healthy treats, quality pet food, crates, blankets, new leashes and collars, toys, gift certificates to pet supply stores, kitty litter, etc. -all are gratefully accepted!
Kittens can be adopted ONLY in pairs or to an age appropriate home. Resident cats must have proof of having been tested for FIV/FeLV.
