Meet TICKLES

Meet Tickles! Our dear, sweet girl Tickles is back at Toronto Animal Services, for a second time, looking for a loving home. She was surrendered back to our shelter through no fault of her own. She is the same old sweet girl we remember, but she wants more now than ever, to get that family of her dreams! Will you make her wish come true?Since her arrival, Tickles has been an absolute charm to work with because she is so friendly and attentive. After initially being a tad shy with strangers, Tickles has really built up her confidence and her warm personality is shining through. She is very social and outgoing - wanting to approach and interact with everyone she meets! And when she sees her favorite friends, her whole body just starts a wiggling in anticipation- she cant resist wanting to jump up to give hugs, kisses and nibbles. Tickles knows how to walk very well on leash, and is attentive to her people during handling-which is great for training! Though her enthusiasm can sometimes be hard to contain, resulting in full on gallops towards the park or leaping onto a potential new best friend. Being a typical bully mix, this (25kg) girl is HIGH ENERGY! She loves to run around and horseplay with people, and with other similar dogs who can match her energy and eagerness but also know when to take a time-out and back-off. She occasionally enjoys a good game of fetch or tug in the backyard. But her most favorite thing is being cuddled and fawned over by her friends. Tickles would always rather be in the company of her friends, than off exploring or spending time by herself. The more time you can spend with her - the better!Once settled into her new home, Tickles will benefit from a steady routine to get her manners and toilet training in check. Obedience training with a professional will be a great way for Tickles and her new family to get to know each other and strike a bond. Continuing a regular training practice afterwards, will also continue to build on her existing skills while keeping her mentally and physically stimulated.Tickles has a fractured tooth that will need to be assessed by your private veterinarian. They may decide to do more testing or treatment. Please contact us for more information. If you would like to know more about Tickles and our adoption process, please call 416-338-PAWS (7297), daily between 10:30am-6:30pm.
