Pibbles & More Animal Rescue, Inc.is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, all volunteer, animal rescue organization based in New York - www.pmarinc.org To reduce pet overpopulation, particularly pit bulls, through spay/neuter intervention. Educating the public about responsible pet ownership through adoption as opposed to purchase.Pibbles & More Animal Rescue was started with the belief that no animal should die unwanted. After seeing the abundance of Pit bulls in shelters we decided to try to do something about it.In the beginning it was a small crew who banded together to form Pibbles & More Animal Rescue. We pull and re-home dogs from death row in the NY ACC shelters as well as from the Northeastern states where we have fosters, and from NC, SC and Georgia gassing shelters. We all have the hope that one day we will be a no kill nation. Until then, we rescue as many dogs as we can, get them medical treatment and put them into foster homes until permanent homes can be found. We take in healthy dogs, mange dogs ,heart-worm positive dogs and dogs who have been abused or have broken bones and open wounds. When we are done, only the scars remain, and the beautiful animals underneath shine through. The potential is there, for dogs to get a second chance at life, to know what love feels like. This is what we strive for every day. To find responsible loving owners for the bullies of the world.

Meet Penne

Mama Penne has been thriving at her foster home in upstate NY! As the proud mom of our Pasta pups (with Gnocchi still available), Penne is now around 2 ½ years old and is fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. She has been through a lot in her life and needs a little time to warm up, but once she does, she hugs hard! Penne truly loves to love. She gets along well with other dogs, is gentle with cats, and is great with kids. However, given her playful and rambunctious nature, she might do best in a home with kids aged 8 and up. Penne has shown herself to be a happy and energetic pup. She simply needs a patient person to give her the time she needs to feel secure. Once she feels safe and settles in, she loves to play, chew on bones, and snuggle—she’s an affectionate pup who deserves all the love and attention she can get. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.  Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.  Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England.
