Meet SMILING SAM
Smiling Sam is our most handsome young, 9 months old, yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix boy that always has a smile and a happy tail wag for everyone. This 70 pound boy is so very healthy and just waiting for the right someone to come along to take him home forever. He is neutered and ready to go with full vetting done. He had belonged to a senior woman who bought him from a breeder but she under estimated the energy of a young puppy and she soon gave up the fight to keep him and raise. He is not hyper but just a typical happy, playful Lab pup that needs exercise and someone to play with him. This senior woman was way past those years and not a good fit to raise Smiling Sam. Good thing she admitted it now! He is a dog that has not been taught to not jump up on people when he first meets them. Young children might find him overpowering in their home and so we recommend older children and a family who will work with him to mold and teach him how to be a great dog that he has the start to become. He rides well in a car and as you would expect he is not great on a leash and pulls. That can be remedied with someone working properly with him. He loves meeting people and going places for adventure. He is housebroken which is fabulous and he loves other dogs. We don’t know about cats but can test him. We love this boy and know that you will too. Do consider if you have the time and desire to train and play with a big dog. He is in his formative years and we need someone totally committed to being patient and working with him in the first months of being in a new home. If you are a good fit and have a fenced yard and the desire to work with a young dog then please email us at [email protected] PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted. Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site. The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.
