Meet MINEY

This pure bred Norwegian Elkhound girl is looking for a home now that she has been released from her breeding responsibilities.   Her name is Miney and she is one of the most gentle and kind dogs you will ever meet.   At just 4 years of age she has been a mother several times over and her mothering instincts have made her a loving and sensitive dog.   Yes, she probably should not have been in that position to begin with.  But Miney was used in the past and now Critter Cavalry Rescue is helping the breeder break down her pack of breeding dogs by taking them in to foster care and fully vetting them and then reviewing the best Elkhound savvy homes and families.   This breed of dog is not in great abundance in the U.S. and we are on the brink of calling them a rare breed.  The Norwegian Elkhounds a remarkable breed of dog that impresses everyone that meets them due to their easy going nature and their quiet demeanor.   They are wonderful family companions and this group of Elkhounds are all good natured with other dogs and even cats.  Miney is beautiful in spirit and in looks.  She has spent most of her life outside with all the other breeding dogs but in nice pens.   We know that she longs for and deserves to be an inside dog with the chance to be pampered and spoiled just a little.  All the Elkhounds we have helped place so far have mostly been shy at first and in very little time and with patience, they have all opened up and embraced their new life and the new people who have promised to love them.  All of the Elkhounds have been housebroken quickly and they have been wonderful with children as well (well behaved and quiet ones).  We wish her to know the joy of being told she is loved, the joy of having a special dog bed that is all her own, toys that are fun to chew and make squeak and a good brushing once a week to keep her gorgeous double coat of fur feeling soft and clean and looking spectacular!  This girl is 42 pounds and 4 years old and it is about time that she have the Cinderella story become the same story for her life.   Won’t you treat yourself to a special girl and help Miney find her magic slippers on the front step of your home and castle!?  She will bring you her own special treasure chest of riches that includes love, kindness and a more joyful life to wake up to everyday.  You will never regret inviting her to walk by your side and lay at your feet.   Please email us at [email protected] if you are interested.  Please let us know where you live:  city and state. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

Adoption Process
