Meet Snowball

Snowball is a 5 year old, 13 pound Coton de tulear mix who came to us from a puppy mill.  In the beginning, she was absolutely terrified of humans and spent most of her time in her crate. However, she was absolutely comfortable around other animals.  With the help of the resident dogs in her foster home, she learned the potty routine (including a biscuit reward) and has done very well for the most part.  She does not go to the door to be let outside, she paces back and forth quickly to let you know.   Although still skittish around humans she will let you pick her up and after holding her for a bit she will somewhat relax.  Snowball does enjoy going for car rides and will walk on a leash but is still uncertain as it is something new for her.  We are confident with a little more practice she will love it.   Sadly, Snowball does not know what toys or balls are and has no idea how to play with them. That being said, she absolutely loves a good nyla bone or cow hoof.  She is very playful with the other dogs in the home both large and small.  She loves nothing more than a good romp followed by a long nap.  She also lives with a cat whom she would like to play with but takes her rejection well, as well as chickens whom she’s learned to leave alone.   Snowball has somewhat bonded with her foster mom and will express her displeasure when she leaves the house so an apartment might not be the best home for her.  She is also still learning the leash and to come when called so fully fenced-in yard will be required in her new home (no portable pens or invisible fences will be considered).   Overall Snowball is a cute fun loving little dog who doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.  She loves to play, she loves food and she loves a cozy dog bed.  Due to her coat, she will require regular grooming and some brushing in between, which she tolerates well.   Snowball is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, and tested neg for heartworm.  She has also been professionally groomed.  Her adoption fee is $450 If you think this sweet little girl is for you, please go on the website and fill out an application.
