Meet Walter

Walter is a sweet and affectionate senior pup, estimated to be around 10-12 years old. This lovable little guy has had his share of challenges—he has a grade 4 heart murmur, arthritis in his rear legs, and no lower jaw—but he’s still full of love to give. Walter thrives on wet food, though he occasionally needs a little help when he gets frustrated while eating. Walter is house-trained and gets along well with cats, dogs, and kids. Because of his arthritis, he’d do best in a home without young children, as he can get a bit grumpy if his sore spots are touched when he’s in pain. Despite his quirks, Walter’s personality shines bright. He’s laidback and loves to snuggle up in quiet spots—his favorite hideout is on top of shoes in the closet! He’s happiest when he’s by your side, soaking up belly rubs and companionship. Walter is looking for a patient and understanding family who will love him just the way he is. If you’re ready to open your heart to this special little guy, he’ll reward you with endless love and loyalty.Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption.
