Meet Macy
Macy is a beautiful, 7 lb Yorkie who is approximately 6 years old. Macy is very friendly and has the sweetest personality. Macy loves human companionship and follows her foster mom around the house. She loves to snuggle up beside her person during the day and will sleep by your side at night. Macy could be an only dog or have another dog under 12 lbs in the home. Macy came to us as a breeder release dog which means she had never lived in a home as someone’s beloved family member, so she is not reliably housetrained. Macy will need someone with patience and time to help her succeed with housetraining. She will also need help with leash training. Macy has NO concept of height, so her adoptive home cannot have decks that are high off the ground. If you have a 2-story house with an open floor plan, please consider your stairwells, catwalks and balconies as dangers. Coming from that situation so many things are new for her, but she is ready to learn. The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC and VA. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact [email protected]. An all-adult home (no young children) with a small securely fenced yard with NO gaps larger than 1 ½ inches and attached to the home is required. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace, temporary fencing or community shared fencing are NOT considered secure fencing. No exceptions. There is an application process and adoption fee. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500
