Black Tie Boston Rescue, Inc

The primary mission of the BTBR is to rescue Boston Terriers, as well as small Boston Terrier mixes where resources permit, from situations of abuse or neglect or from other situation that leave the dogs without an owner, such as from owners who surrender their pets or from animal shelters and other animal welfare organizations. That is our official mission statement. In simple terms, this is a warm, loving group of volunteers that saves Boston Terriers for the love of the breed and the desire to stop the neglected, injured, or abandoned dogs from suffering.

Meet Lewis and/or Clark

Lewis and Clark are looking for a new home! (They can be adopted individually.) Lewis and Clark are brothers that were being given away at 5 weeks old at a flea market. They are fun, adorable little 9-week-old Chiweenies (Chihuahua/ Dachshund mix). Chiweenies are small dogs that typically weigh between 5-12 lbs as adults. These fellas are located in Morehead City, NC. Apply at https://www.bostonrescueteam.com/info/adoption . #rescuedogs #allbreedsmatter (BTBR is a non-profit/501c3 organization that helps rescue and adopt out BTs and similar-size dogs in need. BTBR dogs and fosters are primarily located in the Carolinas and adjoining states. BTBR will adopt to other states; however, it is the adopter’s responsibility to pick up the dog where they are. If you would like to donate to help save dogs, you can do so via Zelle to [email protected], via PayPal to [email protected], or via Venmo to @Black-Tie-Boston-Rescue.)

Adoption Process
We have a set of adoption criteria (such as dogs are inside dogs only, one must be 21 or older to adopt, dogs must never be chained or shocked). We have applicants fill out an adoption application and submit to a veterinary reference check and home visit before adoption. When all steps are completed in this process, they sign an adoption contract and pay the appropriate fees. Fees vary by age of the dog but are all listed on our Petfinder page.
