Meet Daxon! Breed: pit bull/lab mix. Age: approx 9 months. Weight: 42lbs right now, we estimate 50ish pounds full grown. Training: crate, leash, and house trained. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes. Good with adults/kids? Yes. Personality: friendly, playful, submissive, loyal. He loves to be by your side. Reason for rescue: dumped with brothers. Daxon and his brothers were seen being dumped out of a truck on a road commonly known for dumping (trash, animals, you name it ). Discarded just like trash. The finder could not keep them and planned to have animal control pick them up. Except animal control is full with a waitlist! The pound is no place for puppies (or any pets). We are full, Everyone is full. Adoptions are very low, intake requests are high! Nobody could take these precious pups. The finders found him a home after our help getting him neutered, only for him to be picked up by animal control a few months later. He had been attacked by something and had drainage tubes and stitches. Thankfully his microchipped was registered to us as his owners didn't claim him :(. We picked him up from the shelter and he is doing absolutely amazing. His wounds are healed and his spirit seems to be healing too! He is a sweet boy! Daxon is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, too young for heartworm testing, but has been started preventatives. If interested in adding this sweet baby to your family, please message for an adoption application! Adoption fee: $75.
