Meet Karl

Karl is a gorgeous breed mix known as a Redbone Retriever. A mix of Redbone Coonhound and Golden Retriever. Karl lives up to the qualities this breed is known for. He's affectionate, loyal, playful, active, and eager-to-please. Karl likely has experienced abuse and neglect in his life.  When we rescued Karl, he was starving. Karl has cataracts, which allow him to only see movement and shadows. Karl is about seven years old, and he weighs about forty-six pounds. Karl is housetrained, has good house manners, he's good with other dogs, and has a lot of energy and really enjoys playing with his dog buddies. Karl is healthy and fully vetted, and just waiting for his forever family to take him home. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.  

Adoption Process
We screen fosters and adopters. If approved for a Dog you will be required to sign a contract.
