Meet Sadie (Courtesy Post)
This is a courtesy post. Please do not contact Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue for information. Contact information is provided in the desceiption below.Sadie is a 1-year-old Shepherd mix. She is up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention, spayed, and weighs 70 los. Sadie is house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands (sit, lay down, paw, and night night). She is timid at first with strangers, but warms up quickly if you give her a treat and a few rubs on the head. Once she is walked or played with a few times a day, she is pretty calm and likes to sleep or chew her bone. She would do best in a home without children, as she is large and energetic and doesn't know her own strength. She gets along well with her owner's 7-year-old dog that is smaller than her as well as a dog that is her size. She has never been around cats, however. She walks well on a leash. If you are interested in Sadie, please email [email protected]
Adoption Process
An application is required and once it is processed and approved we will set up a time for the adopter to meet the pet, if the pet is finished with their vetting then we can finalize adoption or put the pet on hold and let the adopter know when the pet is ready. When we finalize adoption, the adopter will need to sign an adoption contract and a health disclaimer. We do ask that if the adopter decides that it is not working out that they bring the dog back to us so we can make sure the animal will go into a good home.
