Meet Miss E
Miss E is a 1 1/2-yr-old, 12 lb. Shih Tzu with an adorable underbite. Miss E walks nicely on the leash and is doing well on crate and housetraining. She is good at occupying herself with a Kong toy with biscuit bits stuffed inside. Miss E also enjoys retrieving toys you throw for her. She even gives kisses and cuddles to her foster mom. Miss E is young, smart and quite strong for a 10-pound Shih Tzu, so she is best suited for an adopter who is the same. She is not a fit for someone older or someone looking for a “couch potato Shih Tzu.” In fact, Miss E would really benefit from someone who wants to teach her tricks and commands and walk her daily for her mental and physical health. She is very bright and eager to learn and please, while still keeping that typical Shih Tzu stubborn streak. Miss E can get along with some dogs, but not ones who are pushy or dominant. If there is another dog in the home, it should weigh 15 lbs or less and be laid back. Miss E is a bit of a diva. Miss E is a darling little dog and will be a delight for someone who wants to engage, teach and bond with their canine companion through training, walking, playing and providing structure. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME (NO YOUNG CHILDREN) WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD FOR Miss e'S ADOPTIVE HOME. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, with gaps no greater than 1 1/2 inches and attached to the home. This is a requirement to adopt from Hart-2-Heart Rescue. An invisible fence, enclosed patio, terrace or deck, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact [email protected]. There is an application process and adoption fee. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business days. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dogs after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption fee is $500.
