Black Tie Boston Rescue, Inc

The primary mission of the BTBR is to rescue Boston Terriers, as well as small Boston Terrier mixes where resources permit, from situations of abuse or neglect or from other situation that leave the dogs without an owner, such as from owners who surrender their pets or from animal shelters and other animal welfare organizations. That is our official mission statement. In simple terms, this is a warm, loving group of volunteers that saves Boston Terriers for the love of the breed and the desire to stop the neglected, injured, or abandoned dogs from suffering.

Meet Copper

Say hello to the beautiful Copper! Copper is an extremely sweet and chill, 22-pound, 7 to 8-year old BT. This sweet girl was surrendered after her breeder owner passed away, Copper has been sharing a home with a two-year old, energetic BT. While they have gotten along and even play sometimes, Copper loves to sleep and relax so we think a more calm household would be best for her. She has been very gentle and sweet with her foster family - she doesn’t mind having her nails trimmed, and was very sweet at the vet's office. She does very well in the crate and loves to sleep next to her foster parent during the workday. She is about 95% potty trained, only having a couple pee accidents since she arrived. She doesn’t quite understand how to walk on a leash so we think a backyard would be best for her while she tackles that obstacle. Copper is located in Charlotte, NC and is waiting for her family to come take her home! Please apply at www.bostonrescueteam.com

Adoption Process
We have a set of adoption criteria (such as dogs are inside dogs only, one must be 21 or older to adopt, dogs must never be chained or shocked). We have applicants fill out an adoption application and submit to a veterinary reference check and home visit before adoption. When all steps are completed in this process, they sign an adoption contract and pay the appropriate fees. Fees vary by age of the dog but are all listed on our Petfinder page.
