Black Tie Boston Rescue, Inc

The primary mission of the BTBR is to rescue Boston Terriers, as well as small Boston Terrier mixes where resources permit, from situations of abuse or neglect or from other situation that leave the dogs without an owner, such as from owners who surrender their pets or from animal shelters and other animal welfare organizations. That is our official mission statement. In simple terms, this is a warm, loving group of volunteers that saves Boston Terriers for the love of the breed and the desire to stop the neglected, injured, or abandoned dogs from suffering.

Meet Cupid

Look at this stunning fella!!!!! Cupid or Q for short is a gorgeous, 21-pound, 7-year-old BT that came into rescue after his breeder owner passed away. Cupid was recently neutered and had 12 teeth extracted because of the failure to care for him before rescue…but, he remains nothing but grateful and kind….and now, he isn’t in pain!!!! He does have bilateral cataracts but can still see and gets around fine. Cupid is a mellow guy, who would benefit from another dog or two to bring him out of his shell. He is learning how to be a pet, loving his ball, and gets excited at meal time and when the humans come home! He is doing well learning his house manners, but will need patience as that is perfected. He hasn’t had many car rides so gets a bit anxious. He does well in a crate. Cupid is located in Mooresville, NC and we think someone out there would be SO lucky to be able to give him his forever home! Apply now at www.bostonrescueteam.com

Adoption Process
We have a set of adoption criteria (such as dogs are inside dogs only, one must be 21 or older to adopt, dogs must never be chained or shocked). We have applicants fill out an adoption application and submit to a veterinary reference check and home visit before adoption. When all steps are completed in this process, they sign an adoption contract and pay the appropriate fees. Fees vary by age of the dog but are all listed on our Petfinder page.
