Black Tie Boston Rescue, Inc

The primary mission of the BTBR is to rescue Boston Terriers, as well as small Boston Terrier mixes where resources permit, from situations of abuse or neglect or from other situation that leave the dogs without an owner, such as from owners who surrender their pets or from animal shelters and other animal welfare organizations. That is our official mission statement. In simple terms, this is a warm, loving group of volunteers that saves Boston Terriers for the love of the breed and the desire to stop the neglected, injured, or abandoned dogs from suffering.

Meet Teddy

Teddy is ready for his furever home Teddy is a 2.5-year-old, 20-pound BT that came into rescue after being surrendered to a shelter. Though his full story is unknown, it was clear that Teddy did not feel he could trust humans. He was very scared! The wonderful news is that his foster mom has been determined to make sure he knows love. He went from too fearful to come in the house, to coming in and out on his own. He was too scared to be touched and now enjoys pets and scratches and is learning to walk on a leash. Way to go, Teddy!! Teddy is very sweet and smart! He’s doing very well on his house training and he loves his crate. Teddy also loves other dogs! An ideal home for Teddy will have a fenced yard, another dog or two, and someone home enough to provide consistency and patience as he continues to learn to be a beloved pet. If you can find it in your heart to welcome Teddy to your home, apply at https://www.bostonrescueteam.com/info/adoption. He is currently located in Surfside Beach, SC.

Adoption Process
We have a set of adoption criteria (such as dogs are inside dogs only, one must be 21 or older to adopt, dogs must never be chained or shocked). We have applicants fill out an adoption application and submit to a veterinary reference check and home visit before adoption. When all steps are completed in this process, they sign an adoption contract and pay the appropriate fees. Fees vary by age of the dog but are all listed on our Petfinder page.
