Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue

We are a nonprofit and no kill rescue that works within our county to make it a no kill community. We take in dogs/puppies, cats/kittens and update their vetting including spay and neuters. We will fix the moms and dads of the litters we take so their won't be anymore accidental litters. We do not use vouchers, all of our animals are spayed and neutered before they are adopted out.

Meet Sarabi (Courtesy Post)

This is a courtesy post. Please do not contact Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue for information. Contact information is provided below.Sarabi is a beautiful one-year-old pit bull terrier. She is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She is good with other animals and people. She is rather active, so a home with older children would be the best fit for her.Sarabi is housebroken, walks well on a leash, but does get car sick on longer drives (over 30 minutes). She is very healthy, but is allergic to chicken, so cannot eat any food or treats with chicken produces. She is energetic and loves being outside. All she wants to do is run! Although she is very athletic, she is also very loving and will lay on the couch with you after a long day of play. Given that, she would do best in a home with an active family lifestyle. If you are interested in Sarabi, please email [email protected] or call 828-273-5203.

Adoption Process
An application is required and once it is processed and approved we will set up a time for the adopter to meet the pet, if the pet is finished with their vetting then we can finalize adoption or put the pet on hold and let the adopter know when the pet is ready. When we finalize adoption, the adopter will need to sign an adoption contract and a health disclaimer. We do ask that if the adopter decides that it is not working out that they bring the dog back to us so we can make sure the animal will go into a good home.
