**SPECIAL NEEDS** Topher has a congenital condition affecting his spine; while the spine is supposed to be in a straight line, his is wedge shaped. Topher will need a dedicated adopter who can help him manage his condition with routine vet care and lots of love. Because he needs to avoid high-impact activity to protect his spine, Topher would thrive with someone who can provide plenty of mental stimulation and enrichment activities to keep him calm and content. Topher is very social and happy. Topher is also heartworm positive, and we will need to raise $260 for his treatment before he can be adopted. Adoption Process
$60 - $125 adoption fee Applicants are asked to fill out a questioner so that we know about their home/lifestyle. Depending on the circumstances, we may do a home visit or check veterinary references. We do require verification from landlords if an applicant rents. Applicants are required to sign an adoption contract agreeing to obey animal ordinances, provide proper exercise and care as well as veterinary care.
