Black Tie Boston Rescue, Inc

The primary mission of the BTBR is to rescue Boston Terriers, as well as small Boston Terrier mixes where resources permit, from situations of abuse or neglect or from other situation that leave the dogs without an owner, such as from owners who surrender their pets or from animal shelters and other animal welfare organizations. That is our official mission statement. In simple terms, this is a warm, loving group of volunteers that saves Boston Terriers for the love of the breed and the desire to stop the neglected, injured, or abandoned dogs from suffering.

Meet Ayla

Ayla is looking for her furever home! Ayla is a sweet, silly and playful approximately 6-year-old Boston Terrier / Old English Bulldog mix. This sturdy girl is about 40 lbs. She is very shy at first at first meeting and needs time to warm up to new people. Once she warms up to you, she loves to get pets and scratches. Ayla loves chew toys (you'll need the "super chewer" variety) and enjoys a good game of fetch. She is a love bug that is eager for love and affection. She loves kids, though she can be a bit jumpy when excited and older kids would be best. Ayla likes other dogs, but needs a friend that is submissive, allowing her to be the dominant one. She is house trained and crate trained, though she'd much prefer the floor or couch. She has a cherry eye that may need surgery, which the rescue will pay for. Ayla is located in Boiling Springs, SC. If you are interested, please apply at https://www.bostonrescueteam.com/info/adoption.

Adoption Process
We have a set of adoption criteria (such as dogs are inside dogs only, one must be 21 or older to adopt, dogs must never be chained or shocked). We have applicants fill out an adoption application and submit to a veterinary reference check and home visit before adoption. When all steps are completed in this process, they sign an adoption contract and pay the appropriate fees. Fees vary by age of the dog but are all listed on our Petfinder page.
