The Animal Protection Society of Durham (APS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been helping animals in our community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. INCOMING! I'm a very energetic, busy boy with puppy energy! I'm pretty amped up & anxious here in the shelter, but I'll settle well at home with calming exercises, basic training, & a solid routine. I'm a friendly guy who can be a little rough in my enthusiasm; I'll benefit from "four on the floor" to keep me from going airborne. I love to play with a stuffy or a ball. I really like treats, peanut butter (YUM), learning new skills, & even some affection when I ask. If you want a fun, active guy to learn with, pick me! Let's go home right now!
